Slow Cooker Ham and White Bean Soup with Smoked Paprika

Slow cooker ham and white bean soup gets its smoky flavor from smoked paprika and a tender ham shank cooked low and slow. Great northern beans go in near the end for a hearty soup with warm, savory broth.

Notes

For deeper flavor, let the ham cook until it is very tender before pulling the meat from the bone. Refrigerate leftovers for 3 to 4 days or freeze them for up to 3 months. For a gluten-free soup, check that the chicken broth is certified gluten-free.
