Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard

Equipment

  • 1 large baking sheet

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  4. Cut each triangle lengthwise into 4 narrow strips.
  5. Wrap 4 dough strips around each hot dog, leaving a small gap near one end for the mummy’s face.
  6. Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 13 to 16 minutes, until the dough is golden brown.
  8. Let the mummy dogs rest for 5 minutes.
  9. Dot the mustard onto each exposed face to make eyes.

Notes

For the best mummy look, leave a small, clear gap for each face when wrapping. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days; freezing is fine, though the crescent dough may soften when reheated. For a lighter option, use turkey hot dogs.
